KHASTA DAAL KACHORI


Recipe for the DOUGH


1 CUP WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR

1 CUP MAIDA(ALL PURPOSE FLOUR)

1TSP SALT

2/3 TBLS OF GHEE

ABOUT 3/4 CUP WARM WATER

mix both the flours add salt ghee rub it...slowly add water and a make a soft dough. Let it rest 30 min make KACHORI


Recipe for Filling


1/2 CUP BESAN(GRAM FLOUR)

1/2 CUP SOAKED MOONG DAAL FOR 1 HOUR

ROASTED CUMIN 11/2 TSP

FENNEL SEEDS 11/2 TSP

CORIANDER POWDER 2 TBS

RED CHIILI POWDER ACCORDINGLY

SALT

TSP OF SUGAR

KASURI METHI 2 TBS

GREEN CHIILI ACCORDINGLY

GARLIC IF YOU PREFER (I ADDED)

1 TSP AMCHHOR POWDER

1 TBS OIL


HEAT THE OIL...ADD ALL THE MASALA TOGETHER IN THE OIL COOK FOR 30 SEC..ADD BESAN ROAST FOR 2 MIN ON MEDIUM HIGH FLAME ADD DAAL(COARSELY CRUSHED) WITHOUT WATER COOK FOR 3/4 MIN ON MEDIUM FLAME ADD SAKT SUGAR AMCHOOR POWDER TURN OF THE FLAME LET IT COOL.. ADD ABOUT A TBSP OF WATER MAKE BALLS DONE...
