Paneer Shanghai Rolls
Shanghai Paneer is an aromatic flavor of Indian cottage cheese cooked with Chinese sauces and cashew nuts. It is traditional classic style of making the Indo Chinese recipe in the variant of sauces and veggies.
Shanghai Paneer is one of the quickest starter or appetizer to be served from the excellent menu of Chinese Cuisine.
Here I’m going to tell you the easy method to make home made shanghai paneer recipe.
Ingredients :
Paneer - 125g (grated), Sweet Potato - 1 (boiled, & mashed), Carrot - 1/2 (grated or chopped), Green Chili, ginger and garlic pest – 2 tbsp, Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp, check peas flour /Gram Flour - 2 tbsp, Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp, Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp, Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp, Salt - to test, Turmeric - 1/4 tsp, Cashew nuts - 2-3 tbsp (coarsely powdered or chopped) Spring Roll Sheets – 5, white flour & water for slurry - as required, Oil - to deep fry.
Method:
Begin by adding - Paneer, sweet potatoes, carrot, green chili, ginger and garlic pest, coriander leaves, Gram Flour, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, turmeric powder, cashew nut powder to a mixing bowl. Mix all the ingredients together and make long roll using small portions and keep aside. Also heat up oil to deep fry. Place a spring roll sheet, take one of the filling, and start placing in the bottom portion of the sheet, leaving about an inch from the bottom. Bring the sides to the center, pull up the bottom and start rolling.
Just before rolling it all up, apply a slurry of flour, in the top area and roll it. Keep aside, covered with damp cloth.
Now that you've done the rolling, dice these up diagonally with a sharp knife in a swift motion & there you have these ready to fry.
Fry in hot flame until golden. Once done, get this down to a kitchen towel lined plate.
Crunchy from out & kind of fluffy from inside Paneer Shanghai Rolls are ready, Serve Hot!
After cutting diagonal let set on air fryer for 15 min in 350F temp.
